DRIVE PR Parking Rules

1. Where can I park?

You can park a DRIVE PR vehicle for free in any public street space within the HOME AREA. Always complying with Puerto Rico’s parking law. We have 2 parking rules in each of the HOME AREAs and you should always be aware of what HOME AREA Parking Rule applies to your starting HOME AREA. The rules are:

Floating Parking vs Designated Parking

  • Floating Parking – members can pick up and drop off any vehicle anywhere in the HOME AREA. Always complying with Puerto Rico’s parking law. HOME AREAS-Floating Parking:
    • Condado, San Juan
    • Isla Verde, Carolina
  • Designated Parking – members must pick up and drop off the vehicle specifically at designated parking. Always complying with the Designated Parking Rules. HOME AREAS-Designated Parking:
    • Domenech Ave. #280, San Juan

2. Where can I end my Trip?

To end the trip, you must always be within the HOME AREA. The HOME AREA is our operational area, where DRIVE PR vehicles float freely around the city. You can park for free in any public street space within the HOME AREA. Always complying with Puerto Rico’s parking law.

3. What is a HOME AREA? Can I drive out of it?

Think of the HOME AREA as our area of operations, where our vehicles float freely around the city and where you can park on the streets for free or where you should park in designated parking lots. You can exit the HOME AREA, but you must drive back to the same origin HOME AREA to end the Trip. You should always drive in authorized driving areas DRIVE ZONE. Under no circumstances you can drive or park a DRIVE PR vehicle in NON-DRIVE ZONE areas such as Vieques and Culebra.
